There will be a weekly learning schedule set that includes breakfast and lunch, focused learning that will occur inside of the classroom and time spent as a group in the local community. The learning will incorporate your areas of interest and there will be time for individual and group tasks. You will work with teachers and learning support staff in small groups, with a focus on building your strengths to meet your individual learning goals.
All the staff at Fitzroy North College are trained in trauma informed practices and understand that being a teenager can be challenging. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive campus where everyone is accepted and understood.
It can be difficult to make new friends when you go to a new school. There will be opportunities for you to build connections with others through shared interests, leadership opportunities and whole school events and activities.
We know that you may be experiencing other challenges that impact your learning. At Fitzroy North College there is embedded wellbeing support throughout the teaching and learning model and you will have access to allied health support too.
